You **** actually that is a complete understatment. How about you "SUPER ****"

That was a great find. Those are actually built better than the common truck brand boxes. They have the same drawer design as Lista cabinets and the like with roller bearing drawers. What are the dimensions?

Great score

It's 52" H x 29" D x 21" W. It's going beside the 59" Vidmar I got from Bull.

Not 100% on this but I think that's a punch card cabinet. It has a center support?
Who's the manufacturer? The ones I've seen are stupid heavy duty.
Kind of like this?

Well your CL scouting skills are excellent.

You're off the chart of GJ superlatives . . . so here it is . . .

. . . . . . MEGA MASSIVE YOU **** !!!

Gotta post up pic of the cabinet next to the Vidmar and let us know your plans to paint match the two of them. /envy

Duuuuudde! Freebie? The owner just wanted it gone and figured it had no value? That is awesome. Nice work on the Craigs-Fu.

The guy said his wife did not like it in the garage? I wasn't going to argue ;) He said that he got over 60 hits on craigslist after he replied to me; some that asked to ship out of state. He just wanted it gone. Nice guy. Nice drive. Nice find. It was a good day.

These were for the old 80 column punch cards used on mainframes. You can't buy anything new this well made any more.

I have the option to get a similar cabinet for free as well - our offices downsizing and they didn't have any place to put it, combined with the thing weight a metric sh!t ton, they just didn't want to deal with it and asked if I wanted it.

Yeah, I want it, but I don't have any place to put it! Plus, they really didn't think it through. I went in and sorted out the **** in it that could be tossed and found about half the drawers were left empty. They could easily fit an entire storage shelf of small parts in the cabinet and save room over-all vs. trying to find a place for the stuff remaining in the cabinet.

In the end. Told them I would just put it in my cubical if they'd take the coat rack someplace else. It's almost like I got it for myself.... :)

<edit>
I was wondering what it was for originally - looked like some kind of cards but all I could think of was library cards. Thanks for the note on punch cards.

Put the word 'free' in a CL posting and you'll get replies. Make it a large card file cabinet and no question 60 or so responses will roll in.

To the OP, well done. You possibly got it because you were the only non-sketchy character to reply. Some of the folks who've shown up when I've given stuff away on CL were real characters-- the sort who wear railroad conductor caps and chomp unlit cigars.
