Picked Up a Herbrand Tool Box Today

I got this off of CL today. It's looks a little better in person. Other than the top of the H being broken, it's in good shape.

Does anyone know how to date these boxes. I haven't found much on them other than that this is pre-1960 because of the logo. Most of the similar boxes I've seen the front cover is hinged at the lid. It looks like it was originally blue.

Nice box, you don't see many of those around here.

Think you should post some pictures of those (folding?) horses it is sitting on, looks like a project.

I keep trying to collect some herbrand stuff but it's always one or two bits here and there.

Funny how - with tool brands - your locale really does affect what is available. I find some Herbrand locally, along with alot of Craftsman. Must just be what suppliers offered what brands in your town, and so that determines what you find used.
