Picked up this small Lista a while back. The guy wanted $150 firm. I could see in the pictures it had a dent in the back and probably the bottom. Of course, I ask the guy if the drawers all open and close ok, he says yes. I get there and the first drawer I go to open only comes out about an inch. The guy puts his foot on the cabinet and is ready to start pulling on the drawer. I told him to stop. I felt like maybe the locking mechanism was hung up. I offered him $100. He said he was firm on $150. I said Well you also said the drawers opened ok. We settled on $100 and away I went.

When I got it there was spray paint on the front. It had the locked drilled out and smaller wheels added. I had some correct wheels, and a lock from another cabinet I sold. So, I banged out the dent, switched out the lock and wheels. Then I cleaned off the spray paint.

Turned out the latch on the stuck drawer was bent. I was able to get it unlatched and straightened out. Then just cleaned and lubed the bearings. I bought this cabinet in CT. Turns out it was from the Sikorsky plant. Found some paperwork under the bottom drawer. This is the 2nd Lista cabinet I bought that came from Sikorsky.

I really didn't need another box at the time. But was thinking about maybe making a welding cart out of it. I have since got rid of a few boxes and put tools in it. Before I joined GJ I would have thought Lista and Vidmar were some no name cabinets.

I also picked up this Strong Hold last year. I will say I should have rented a trailer. Again, did not need another cabinet, cart, box whatever. But for the price I could not pass it up. The seller was a great guy. I could not pick it up for a week. But he took the CL add down once I said I wanted it.

Well, if the previous owner had done those things, it might sold for $150, eh?

He had a can of WD40 on the floor. The inside of the cabinet was covered in it. He must have been spraying it like crazy before I arrived trying to free up the drawers. He didn't have it listed as a Lista. He obviously was not a member on here.

I knew the Strong Hold would be heavy. But honestly if the seller didn't have a hoist and the patience, I would have never got it loaded.
