Picked up a new air compressor

How old is this thing? Screws into a spark plug hole to pump up a tire. Found it at a thrift store today and thought it was cool.

Great idea, but I don't want pressurized gasoline vapors in my tire, even for a short trip.


Judging from the art on the package, I'm going to guess early or mid 1970s vintage.

You could buy them from JC Whitney as late as the early 90s.
