Just got it wired up and the oil installed. A lot quieter and larger than the single stage oil free 26 gallon one I've been using for the past ten years.

I got it for $100. Good deal?

Damn you! I was about to buy that very compressor new from TSC, then they replaced the yellow twin-V pump model (like you got) with the blue twin inline pump model. :(

I really like the yellow color also. It complements the orange lathe quite well. I just sold my C-H 26 gallon compressor on craigslist for $75, so it looks like I'm into this compressor for $25 + the cost of a few fittings and a bottle of oil.

It also came with this:

Anyone know what it is? I was thinking some sort of line dryer, but there's no model number on it anywhere.

The other one looks like some sort of drain / autodrain.

Where in the hell did you get a new compressor for $100?????????????????

That's what I want to know! Where did you get that? I want one - do they have another one? I have a pump shed that I can install this in and then run a hard line under the ground to the garage for a hot air feed...

I got it from a local business that bought it for some task that it was greatly oversized for. They used it for a few months before deciding to get rid of it. The oil in it looked almost brand new, no signs of use or abuse on it at all.

looks like a plain old water separator. if it was a desiccant dryer it would have some type of site glass to show if the desiccant is good or bad. manual drain on the bottom is a dead giveaway, also the inlet on top tells that it is used at point of use and not in line. any way, it was a good deal.

Man, all the CL ads I see want a lot more than $100 for 25 year old Montgomery Wards compressors.
