Picked up a pile of tools

Here's a few pics of a select few (to full at home and had to move the other stuff to my other place, which is also too full but I don't have to park a car there, although it would be nice to keep the trailer there rather then 25 miles away) and a What is it?

Cool tape measure and a gold plated 4" Adjustable with LC (Danielson/Plomb?).

Plomb?

What is it? Square drive on one side, hex on the other. Old car crank/lug wrench?

Perhaps the Square/Hex handle tool operated both a jack as well as removed the lug nuts.

I think that is a car jack handle.

One side is for lug nuts. Other cranks the scissor jack.

I was wondering if that might be it. They look like they just slip on and off...or are they more permanently attached?

I have one set of pliers dedicated with these on them just for the delicate stuff.

I could have used them just last night, while trying to free up a roller bearing with some lube and gentle persuasion.

Man i wish this area was any good for things like that. CL *****, garage sales ****, flea market *****, estate sales ****. Unless you're looking for contractor type stuff, table saw, saws, sanding implements, etc.

Love the old tape measure. Those were the style I grew up with as a kid (and you could get tapes for). Used to carry my grandfathers in my pocket until it broke. (problem with trying to get it out of the pocket for use on a ladder)

I'm not arguing that I-circle = Parker Manufacturing, but what is it about the Super-Tuff screwdriver (besides I-circle) that screams Parker Manufacturing? Have you got a Parker Manu. branded screwdriver?

That said, some (Phillips type) of the Crafty amber handled screwdrivers that preceeded the Super-Tuff screwdrivers also had the I-circle stamping.

When you get a "great deal" on craigs list like that how do you know the stuff isn't Hot?
I always insit on paying with a check, so I have proof positive that I paid for the goods., but I still wonder as I have been ripped off a few times, and don't feel like encouraging thieves.

The one set is a None Better, the Plomb looking set has no markings aside from the socket sizes.

Nonsense, those are tool bras used by elite tool collectors to protect the finish on their fancy tools.

I am, not sure if they will go in my Craftsman box or my novelty tool box.

All this stuff came from 2 house sales. I hardly buy or list anything on craig's list, it's been taken over by criminals and seedy people.

60's or early 70's by the logo, I have another similar set from the 50's but these things were to nice not to get, I don't think they were ever used.

The patent number on the Super-Tuff pertains to the screw-holding feature and was assigned to the Parker Wire Goods Company before the company name changed to Parker Manufacturing Company in 1943...
