found great deal on a New inexpensive plasma today. I bought an Italian made yes Italy not China, Harbor Freight 40amp pilot arc plasma for $220 bucks found it on Craigslist. Never used but was missing the ground cable, Borrowed the one off my ARC welder.

I love it, It will cut 1/2" which is more than I'll ever need doing auto body work. It uses a real nice Alpha series torch (easy to find consumables) apparently harbor freight sold this a year ago and it got good reviews but it was much too pricey for harbor freight to get them from Italy vs China so they switched to the cheaper unit and discontinued this.
Its model 92652 and for what I paid i couldn't be more please with it. I already cut up all sorts of stuff in my garage and I picked up an extra 10 tips and electrodes from my local HF on my way home.

Called HF today and they are shipping me out the missing air regulator and ground clamp for FREE. Man i am happy with this thing for what i have in it.

I cut some 1/2 inch tonight and it did great job. I will probably never need to cut anything that thick but I wanted to see if it was as advertised. Cuts sheet metal and 1/8th like a champ and fast.

If you see a 92652 Chicago ELECTRIC plasma I recommend it. NOTE this is the one without the digital readout. That one is Chinese this one is Italian.

I would go around my garage for hour or so cutting stuff just to see what it could do. PCutter is on my list to get someday.
