Picked up a pretty cool Winchester folding ruler

I was at a gun auction last week and picked up this Winchester brand folding ruler for $7.50 just because I thought it was cool.





So when I got home I started doing a little research and found that these must be a pretty rare item. It is on Ebay now to see if I cant get some of my money back from other purchases that day.

I saw one similar to that at a flea market not too long ago.

I wanted it because it was in near mint condition....it also had brass edges instead of wooden edges. The guy wanted $32 for it. I think I offered twenty.....we couldn't agree to a price. I think I could have had it for twenty eight. I wished now that I had went ahead and given him the money.

Yeah I thought so to until I found 2 of them that sold for over $150 in the last 2 months. I think the fact that is a Winchester brand ruler makes it pretty rare. All of them that I have found that sold seem to bring a hefty premium.

Cant see the sold price on this one but he was asking $200 for it so I assume he got above $150 for it.

If not no big deal, it will be a cool little knick knack for the top of my gun safe.
