Picked up a USA Crescent 8" adjustable today !

Nothing too exciting but I was happy to get a NOS model at Lowe's today for 12.98. Made my day, I must be easy

I THINK that the new production is US made... though truth be told, the PRC ones I saw were a little better finished. Stuey (I think) had a write up on this a while ago.

All of them were made in China, except for a few USA models that were in old packaging.

You might have gotten old stock, but the newest stock is USA as well they can be found at Home Depor

I can't argue that point, i picked the best of the bunch and it is better than the new Proto that I have.

I've seen NOS USA Crescents at several Sears stores, hanging on the back of the peg.

They don't appeal to me, you can buy USA made Craftsman for a similar price all day long.

I agree about the sloppy jaws. I threw away an 8" for that very reason. Terrible.

I happened to pick out a good one, went through the entire lot.
