Just picked up this old Sandborn compressor for my shop was looking for a vertical but price was right on this used unit $250 an I'm hoping to slide it in above my bathroom ceiling in shop an save floor space. The ID tag doesn't show model number or specs on pump but motor info is there 5 hp , single phase , 1750 rpm an tank specs. The guy that owned it said its been serviced on a regular basis an runs well but I couldn't run it to test it so bit of a gamble. I looked online an couldn't find much info on it . Tank was made in 1985

Nice! Looks like an ABAC/American IMC T39 pump which you can still get parts for.

I'd just change the oil in it and run it for awhile before you do that - it might be fine as-is.

I have an upright 2 stage san born of that era and its been a very good compressor.hopefully yours has been maintained and works out for you too!
