Picked up an old Snap On box today

You know how this story goes. You're sitting at home scrolling for something on Craigslist and stumble upon a distraction that is irresistible.

I needed a top box and this one jumped out at me. I believe this is a KR-56 and it has very sturdy handles on the sides. When I went to pick it up I thought that the thing was full of tools but it's just built like a tank.

It was resprayed once and has liners in all of the drawers. Zero rust and a few light dents that you can see in the pic.

I know someone will ask what I paid. The guy wanted $125 for the box and I thought that was a fair deal.

That's kind of what I figured. It was either that or someone tried to make it look like the 50s, because that handle is very 50s.

Its nice to see that you didnt beat the guy up over the price and then come here to gloat about it cause as you said it seems like a fair deal. Nice box

That's a pretty cool box, you could replace the front with new metal and re paint. I've never seen one like that, I'd be tempted to restore it to new condition.

The guy had a fair price on a box that I needed. I couldn't see a reason to try and beat the guy into the ground over a 125 dollar box. I can't get anything of this quality for the price from Craftsman so no matter how you cut it, I came out ahead.

This box is in perfect serviceable shape. I bought it for regular use so this one won't be going through any restoration.

I picked up a very similar box earlier this year. I think I paid $140 for mine and thought it was a fair deal for both parties.
