Been searching craigslist off and on for a tool box to get more room since my hf 56 inch is just about overflowing and what do you know found a posting last night for 3 lista cabinets that were about 28x28. They are the eye level model. I got an 11, 12, and 15 drawers units. I honestly not sure how I'm going to use all this space yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Went strait from picking them up to work so currently sitting on the trailer in the parking lot. Also hopefully my picture uploads, since pics or didn't happen!

I'll definitely posts some picks when I get them set up but it will probably be a looong time before they are "done". I really only need one of them at this point but I figured I may never get another shot at something like this unless I went new. I've been wanting to start getting set up with hardware storage but being the house I bought (and still haven't finished renovating) only has a 1.5 car garage the typical plastic bin set ups would use up way too much space. Now that I have these I think it will be perfect. I'm sure one of them will eventually end up 100% hardware and another will be overflow rooms that I don't use all that often. Honestly have no idea what the third will be as of yet.

I gave $2400. Couldn't really find anything to see if that was a good deal or not but I figured since buying one new is just about that much I'd pick them up and hopefully never buy a tool box again in my life.

Lxcam- Thanks! I just have to hope the lady friend doesn't kill me before I get to enjoy them.

We have one in the tool room here at work that is loaded down pretty good and has been here longer then the guy that works the tool room now. (27 years) after I fondled that one I've been searching craigslist off and on. This was the first time I seen one that wasn't beat to hell for $1000.

imho you did pretty dang good. Not a steal but a square deal and they look to be in excellent condition...a nice Vidmar or Lista is a beautiful thing!

You got a good deal for $2400. They would bring about $3000 or more on eBay plus shipping, so you did fine.

Nice score, definitely better then Ebay, look in very good condition, no rust at all. half the cabinets on Ebay are rust buckets or have been fully abused.

I have >2x the cabinets, pondered how I would use the space ( I am single); most drawers are lined with Schaller or Akrobins. I ended up placing everything that resemble hardware/house hold goods in them include sewing materials, first aid goods, ammo, medicines, chemicals, tools etc. Now I can find stuff without going through all the rooms in my house. Appease your lady, give her some drawers to use, it may get you off the hook. If not, she may stuff you in the drawers... worry not they will hold your weight. :)

2400.00 is not a screaming deal, But not a bad deal. On ebay they run about 100.00 per drawer. Once you start using them you will love them. Well worth the money. Please post pictures.

Garagejunky- they may have been. I found them in the Lansing Craigslist but had to drive about 45 minutes southeast to fowlerville to pick them up.

Pcmeiners- that's not a bad idea at all! Maybe she will even tell me to get more.

Richard- I got 38 drawers in mine so I guess after hearing that I feel I did pretty decent.

That's a fair price for those. I really like the 15 drawer, you'll be cables to put more hardware than you'll ever use in a couple life times.

I have a 13 drawer Vidmar and I emptied 8' of shelving and had a very large pile of coffee can and containers left over after stocking the cabinet, and only used up 6 drawers.

Nice find, you'll love them.

You'll be searching for more for a bench:bounce:
