That's actually big bins for small parts... lol. Found these on craigslist yesterday. They are big boys at over 7 feet tall, 36" wide and 18" deep, and over 200 pounds apiece. LOL A little beat up but definitely serviceable. Going to clean them up a bit and try to find plastic bins for most of the compartments, there a nice variety of sizes. I don't see any Mfg name plates, unfortunately. Paid $100 for the pair, which I was happy with considering the size and amount of storage I'll get from them.

Any suggestions on where find decent 18" deep bins?

Nice......one really good feature is that it is all bolted together and things can be arranged to suit.

If you are really ambitious, like this guy, you can make your own boxes.

Thanks!! I'm surprised they were still available as they had been on CL for a few days, guess it was my time to bring home a decent find.

lilredex..That guy was nuts making all the boxes..lol.. not THAT ambitious..I'm trying to decide if its worth taking it all apart to really blast and paint, or just be lazy and use as is..HAHA

How about a pair of plywood doors on each unit? Those units tend to collect a ton of dust.

I'm guessing those came from a military or government organization. I was assigned to a couple of Army logistics units during my career. They used the same type cabinet while some of them used cardboard bins, most of them were switched to plastic bins similar to the Uline item linked above. Good find!

John
