Some of you may remember the old Heyer Dynavision engine analyzer I found a couple of years ago at Hershey (pic below). Well this weekend I stumbled upon this Heyer battery tester and charger. I don't know much about Heyer or how long they were in existence, but I love the patina!

No, I never really researched it. I'd guess late '40's-early '50's. Mine is a little different from yours. The lid on top is red, and doesn't have the nameplate on the lid. Cool find.

Patina? Ok, well if it were mine I'd still have to scrub the rust off with CLR and try to find a way to seal it. I wouldn't want to lose all the factory graphics but I couldn't let it continue to rust away. Rust and I are NOT friends! Ha ha.

Did you do anything cosmetic to the engine analyzer or is it pretty much in the as-found condition?

The engine analyzer is as it was the day I got it. I'd love to tinker with it and get it working, but I need to do some wiring first...lots of frayed exposed copper.
