Hello,
We have an 80's era house and I need to replace the windows in it. I have 15 windows of varying sizes. Not something I'd even consider doing, but don't have a clue where to begin selecting someone. I used to be an Angie's List subscriber, but no longer trust the service.

Whats a good way to accomplish this?

Good Luck with your window project, and if you search around a bit you should find at least a few threads here on the subject.

Generally you will get three types of responses:

1) " after getting several quotes from professionals with many years experience I realized they are all just a bunch of rip-off artists so I did my windows myself with off-the-rack stock sizes from my local home improvement store and only paid $50 per window and I got a great job"

2) " I custom ordered windows through a nationally known retailer and paid $2000 per window, installed...but at least I talked them down on price and made them give me the 'friends and family discount' plus the 'first time buyer' discount plus they gave me money off for letting them put a sign in my yard"

3) "i got three quotes and used the company that had the least offensive sales person"
