I'm going to pick up a used lift tomorrow if all goes well. Its at a small shop that was bought out by a larger auto repair chain in the area and they are updating and doing a remodel. They are installing all new Danmar 12k lifts and they are selling me a Magnum XL 9k lb symetrical lift. Its a little over half the price of a new 9k Atlas from Greg Smith delivered. It has new sliders and overall looks to be in decent shape. Anyone have any advice or anything else to look for?
I've already looked at it and inspected it once in action. They put a Chevy Tracker on and lifted it all the way up/down. no funny noises or anything.
I have some experience as I used to work as a tech for a few years at a Chevy dealer before I went back to active duty military.
Lastly, I have already done the measurements and it'll fit fine. I built one bay of my detached with 15' ceilings just for a lift. The concrete under it will be 14" on one post and 5" on the other so no worries there. If I get it I'll post up pics for sure.

good luck with it , just look for any leaks or things that might be broken or "rigged" shop are always rigging something. make sure you grab the truck extenders and all loose parts bring her home and enjoy:)
