I am using 4" plastic pipe filled with vinegar to clean 8' galvanized metal.
My question does this method require ambient air to work or could I put a cap on this vessel ?
TIA

I do not belive there is any need for it to be exxposed to the air.
The chemical reaction is going on sub-surface.
I have pulled the parts out and brushed them down, just to hurry things up.
I don't thike the air exposure helped or hurt.
