Pickup dump bed ideas?

I've thought about making a tilt/dump bed for my f250 for years now. Grandpa had an 82 f150 like that and it was great for landscape, firewood, etc. I've seen the inserts, but I just want to keep the stock bed, it's not for a business or anything. I know they make hydro powered subframe kits, and they're expensive too.

While camping I was looking at the electric stabalizers. They're a long all thread with a 12vlt motor on the end. A scissor assembly that lifts and levels the trailor. Basically like a screw garage door opener.

Has anyone seen a bed lift setup based on this idea? I figure it would work great, be simple and could support/pickup a decent bit of weight thanks to leverage.

I'm think the bed subframe and hinge like other kits, but a threaded rod running down the center of the bed. I know the rod would try to torque a bit, but that's just a matter of proper support and sourcing the right screw.

Anyone ever see a setup like that? Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!

Brian
