Actually I lost track of this forum. I went to register and it said I was already registered.

I got the nickname from co-workers for the way I drive.

I would give my left...ah, you fell in the blank, for a Corvette and I will probably have to in order to own one. Your shop is way to clean, you need to leak a little oil on the floor so it looks like you work on cars.

Oh, I could show you the oil stains.

I'm past the days of doing heavy mechanics but I'm currently in the process of recarpeting the 66. I've pulled out the old and insulated. I have the new carpet in but have to fit it and put the trim back in.

In two weeks I'll be hosting a "Detail Day" for a local Vette group. We're expecting between 20-25 Vettes. If any of you are in the Phx area and wanna see some great Vettes and maybe learn a little about detailing just PM me and I'll shoot you the address.

Just thought I'd show you it ain't as pretty as it seems in some pics. Remember this garage is only 17 yrs old too.

Racedeck type tile is the next major improvement. Got a bath remodel to pay for first.

We've been married 37 yrs and learned a long time ago to barter. She got the master bath remodeled and the company that did it threw in the garage cabinets to seal the deal. Then she wanted it professionally painted rather than us doing it. The painter made us a deal on the bath and garage paint to get the job. I learned this years ago when she wanted a 55 gal fish tank and I wanted Borla's for my 02 Vette at the time. Both of us end up happy!

The latest update to the "man cave". Sister got it for my Bday. It's even black to go with the gray/black theme. Every man cave should have a fridge.

You've got great taste in vehicles - but I'd bet those 2 Vettes couldn't be any further apart for the driver!!!

Lemme guess: no kids?!

Nice setup ya got there Eddie. Goofy question though, is that chain for the box and compressor secured to the wall? Otherwise it looks like just enough length to lift up on the tailgate one at a time..:lol_hitti

You got it E-Tek, no kids and a pension from 23 yrs in LE.

The chain goes through both and around a 6'x18' support column. Being retired from LE I am aware it will just keep honest people honest and if they really want them they'll get them. I figure it will keep someone from just coming in and rolling them out. I've had neighbors lose bikes, golf clubs, etc.

Thanks for the compliments. One of these days I'm gonna get to the floor. At least now I'll have a cold one while the floor is getting done.
