Pics sideways

Any one know why pics uploaded from an iPad show up sideways instead of right side up posting here?

Because the pics were taken with the device "sideways" relative to how other devices view the images so now they need to be rotated before being posted.

apparently the ipad is storing the exif information in the image and it's getting uploaded verbatim. try rotating the image on the ipad then upload.

Sorry,,,not correct...pics are taken correctly...but for some reason and on certain websites,,gets uploaded sideways...
