I'll try to remember to take a few pictures of my brothers KRL1022 tomorrow. He has the polished stainless drawer guards and the stainless body guard kit.

I have some on mine and can take pics when I get home. I'm not too worried about the double-sided tape since they fit very snugly over the drawer handles (right angle in front and larger, piece in back which follows the 'cut-in' fold of the drawer top).

One tip: Wipe them down with WD40 when you clean your tools. Makes them a bit darker but then they don't show any fingerprints... :D

Here are the pictures you requested. Its really hard to notice them on a black box.

My guess as to no prices is because they're sold through Snap-on. They're made specifically for the SO drawer shape.

I got some for my KRSC40. I bought the set for the KRA4107 for about $150 (minus the rebate the snappy guy threw in). $700 would have been a bit much... I do have the brushed ones, not the mirror polished ones.

Yes its a bit steep, but I didn't get the box for free. I want to protect it as much as I can, because I will never buy another one again.

Deafautotech: I use my service cart 98% of the time also.

I agree. I spent another $130 on a $1800 box. $700 don't seem to bad on a TUV.

BTW, we NEED a guided tour of your TUV!!!! Please... :)

Thats the same set im going to order from, Marrgard, Merk is right they make them for SO, i have them on my big box. They are alittel cheaper than SO, but not so much. I belive that same set from margards.com is 88 dollars.

How do they fit?

Zuspiel i know you already got in for alot on that box, just ordered two of these for my 6" and 12" drawers...there like $33 a pop..http://image.snapon.com/international/pdf/ka41x36_npa.pdf

vulturej, thanks for the pics. I can't tell from the pics because they are so shinny, but do these replace the stock drawer trim pieces? From what i can see, the guards wrap around the back/inside of the drawer, but as for the front do they just line up with the stock trim? thanks.

And Phil...i'm loving the box, thanks again on that deal.

They line up with the stock trim, and they do not come with the trim piece.

They fit really well. No complaints whatsoever. I did have to order another single one since the KRA set only came with 7. I might check out Margards if I ever decide I "need" them on the KRA...

I saw those trays after I ordered my box and debated with myself heavily. In the end, I decided against it since there was going to be only one 8" drawer (and after finding that KRA for a drawer swap, the KRSC is all 2" and 4" drawers). However, the KRSC actually came with one of those trays. Pretty nifty. I put it in one of the 8" drawers of the KRA.

I don't see the point in putting mar guards on drawers that are already chipped. :dunno:

It's like floor mats for cars. Do you go ahead and enjoy the carpet for awhile and then put mats on to cover up the ****, or do you start with mats so you can turn over the nice carpet to the next guy :)

Anybody puts that John 3:16 or similar on their business material immediately sends me elsewhere. Goes right up there with stars and crescents for typically hypocritical practitioners.

I ordered the bushed set for my box, as you can see in the pictures of my brothers black tool box the polished set looks dirty all the time. My brother is constantly wiping them off.

Mine are brushed and match well with the aluminum KRA trim (and don't show dirt, esp. after the WD40 treatment :) )

I'll get some pictures of mine if you guys want to see the brushed ones. Mine have been on since the box was new (97) to give you an idea of it's longivity. Overall I love them and I wouldn't own a KRL without them. It's super easy to scratch a box when a tool touches the paint. I just spend a bunch of time cleaning a touching up my box recently.
