Picture Request - White walls with black screws or drywall before mudding

I picked up a drywall screw gun that can accommodate 1-3" collated Senco style screws to install plywood walls on the interior of my detached garage. The 3/4" plywood I have has a white vinyl covering on it already, so ideally I would like to just use white screws to avoid having to paint them.

Does anybody have pictures of a white wall with black fasteners, like drywall before mudding?

I'm trying to decide whether I should plan on painting the screws afterwards or just leaving them contrasting.

keeping the screws uniform will be tough. what of you miss a stud , what will you do with the hole?
I would perhaps use a batten that can be painted ahead of time & touched up when done

that was my thought too. I suppose a dab of paint on the screw heads won't be too difficult to finish up after everything is hung.

Anytime you have exposed fasteners it's critical to have a consistent fastener "grid", after all it's become part of the design being exposed. The little bit of extra time and care that you put into this will show and save you from additional steps.
I think it will look nice and set your shop apart from others.
Then you can carry the theme into your electrical cover plates, possibly some shelf hardware, etc.
Either following a line laser or temporary string lines would be the easiest way imho.

How about painting the screw heads before installing them? I would think it would be easy enough to line up several rows of the collated screws and mist the heads with a rattle can.

You aren't going to try to use drywall screws to hang plywood, right? You'll be breaking them left and right.

They are a terrible screw except for their intended application, hanging drywall

There are a lot of construction screws available in colors. I have seen white screws but don't remember exactly what type they were. If you can't find white I'd probably go for the tan so a dab of white paint will cover it easier. I wouldn't even think about leaving them exposed. Just too much chance that some of them will have to be off from whatever pattern you start with.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I'm planning to use decking screws. Good idea to just hang them up while they are on the roll and spray them.

I'll have to check what is available locally
