I've been thinking about some new J.H.Williams 3/8 and 1/2 flex head ratchets but I can't tell from the pictures I've seen if they have pins or threaded bolts in the hinge joint. Does anyone know?
I like the idea of the additional support of the bolt style in resisting spread in the clevis.
In fact, I probably won't get them if it's just a pin.

If you are referring to the USA made based on the previous gen snap-on 936 series; they should had a bolt, you can tighten as needed... as they wear.

All the currently produced USA made Willliams pear head ratchets are the same as the Snap On 900 (936) series and use a torx bolt in the pivot.
The previous design were based on the 800 series Snap On and had a pin in the pivot.

I don't have any pics of 3/8" or 1/2" drive handy but they will look the same as these 1/4" drive Williams ratchets.

The current ratchets do not have a screw holding on the selector like the 800 series based ratchets do so that is an easy way to tell them apart.

Note that the 3rd ratchet in ,the M-52EHF ,with the selector in the off position, has a screw holding on the selector and a pin in the flex joint. The others are current 936 based ratchets (part #'s end in A).
