So I have been buying allot of tools lately and thought it would be nice to get the wife a few that she can use while scrap booking. I took a little tool box and painted it to match. She seems happy with her little collection and hopefully won't notice the new BBQ pit I just bought!

Nicely done!
My GF has been getting on my case lately and something like this could be just the thing to make her laugh, possibly look the other way too.
Wondering though, what does all of that retail for?

From wikipedia:
Scrapbooking is a method for preserving personal and family history in the form of a scrapbook. Typical memorabilia include photographs, printed media, and artwork. Scrapbook albums are often decorated and frequently contain extensive journaling. Scrapbooking is a widely practiced pastime in the United States.

So - I'm a little confused why your wife needs tools like that for scrapbooking :headscrat

I also didn't know that SO offered pink pliers. Or, did you dip the handles?

I wouldn't mind having a pink CT screwdriver....

Just because I know my co-workers would never try and borrow it!

Picked up all the pink I could for the wife this past Mothers day. Only thing my truck guy didn't have was the ratcheting screwdriver. That last (or what I thought was the last) piece is no on the way to me thanks to Wchamberlain. My truck guy had loads of pink socks so shes outfitted with those for a while! Lol. Still on the lookout for more pink stuff for her. I'd love to pick her up one of the pink epiq toolboxes but due to me having to trade in my car to pay for it, it likely won't happen soon.

Pink tools?

*Ahem.

It may be because I'm new here, but couldn't any set of tools be pink with some masking tape and a good rattle can?

I think it is a somewhat legitimate point that having some pink tools would be an easy way to keep them from walking away. It's a very unique color that stands out in any shop.

That's awesome!! I've been thinking of doing up a handbox for the old lady's scrapbooking stuff, and now I might just go get started.

If the tool is used regularly or daily, any paint will wear off of any handled surface quickly. If just used for show and tell, paint will get you by if a tool polisher.

LOL.

Not only is it legit, I have a co-worker that did it for that very reason for some of his select and more pricey tools.

Also have a female floor engineer that uses the pink ratcheting screwer all the time. Any time it is left around or gets misplaced, it eerily makes it's way back to her station both for the reason it stands out so much and also for the fact pink is in no way manly enuff to get anywhere near and it also likely has "cooties."

Hahahahaha.

I'm guessing your single or the SO doesn't scrap book. :D

Scrap-booking also entails those decorative little tweaks that require pliers of different sorts, small hammers, screwdrivers, and even number and letter stamps. I should get them a small 5 lb anvil for when they want to whack things before SWMBO breaks a tile in the kitchen hammering on a breadboard...

SWMBO would kill me if I set her up with a pink setup like that. so would both daughters!

Nine times out of ten they want stuff in black. (although the youngest does do pink accents, on black...)

The 4 piece pink pick set is ASA204AY.

I've got them and the pink ratcheting screw driver.

But what I really want are some pink hard handles to put on my ratchets.

Not single - SO doesn't scrapbook.

Since I'm back in the thread - humor me with a little hijack.
My wife collects Hallmark ornaments. I'm sure many of you know what they are. She used to buy me Hallmark ornaments at Christmas. I really have no use for ornaments. I know - it's the thought that counts and all that. But I really don't like them - I tolerate the fact that she spends money (a lot of money) on them every year but don't spend even more to buy some for me. I suspect that she was in some way trying to justify the money she spends on them by trying to make them important to me also.
Do you see where I'm going here?
Don't get defensive on me - your wife or SO likes tools so you buy her pink ones. That's cool. Someone out there is doing it to justify their own purchases though. I've seen it from the other side. Not accusing the OP or anyone else - but it's happening.

My wifes collection includes these, along with 10 pr pink socks and every tshirt in pink. She has about 10 of those 2. I will try to post the jacket I got her for her b-day, but I might get slapped if she sees this so keep it a secret. I am not supposed to get into her hobby room.:p

I though the pink tools were a limited run for breast cancer awareness. I didn't know it was a Mother's Day promo. Learn something new all the time!
