Bought this box of CL couple of weeks ago. Its as pink as pink can be:lol:

Saw it listed and the price was reasonable so I called and bought it. Girl said it was her ex girlfriends and was left to settle a debt after the break up.

Don't remember the model number but it is a KRL double bay, 29" deep box. It is the shorter height wise of the KRL boxes. Pretty darn good shape.

So how many of you guys have seen a pink SO box. I would say there aren't a lot out there but am curious.

I buy strictly to resell so I'm not keeping it. Might be the first thing I list on ebay to widen the audience.

It's a pretty niche product... very cool IMO but I wouldn't drop that kind of coin on my wife unless it had diamonds in it! There are certainly buyers out there though.

How much did you pay for it?

Ah,,,,,,,that's a question I won't answer cause I am buying to resell. That said, I paid a bit less then I would have paid for a similar box in a regular color. I think the only color box I haven't had over the years is extreme green and I would pay a little extra for one of those. They seem to be desirable.

Warmpancakes, thanks for the info. I think it will sell to the right person.

Frisco Kid, if it doesn't sell, my wife will get as she loves it. And she does have her own tools, though more of the type used around the house, not on cars.

Actually I kinda like it, in a way. It looks pink, but not really in your face pink. More like a pepto bismol pink. :lol_hitti

Girl said it was her ex girlfriends

Am I reading that right? :headscrat

Why? I have never understood why people say that. Does it change what you are actually going to let it go for? Probably not. Best of luck in your end endeavors.

While I'd like to know the buying prices as well, as a curiosity, I understand why some would like to keep that info quiet when reselling. If a potential buyer knows what the seller paid for an item, the buyer can use that in the bargaining process. The seller has less wiggle room to make a deal, and make a profit. If the seller revels that info after the sale, the buyer may feel cheated (which is nonsense, they got a deal that they otherwise felt good about. It doesn't matter how much profit the seller made). :dunno:

Yes the girl is a lesbian,,,,,,,,,well I suppose they both are. Makes no difference to me. She was nice, friendly as was I and may do some more business in the future. She has some tools at another location to sell also. I have no problem with someones orientation provided they are not the in your face type. Course I don't care for in your face types of any type of people be it ******, business, political or religious or any other thing you can think of.

As far as not telling what I paid, Jakemac said it pretty well. I don't gouge people, I know what I need to make and price accordingly. This is a business for me and I have expenses and overhead to pay just like any other business.

Firebox, no pics of the girl. She was very pleasant, but pretty plain looking. She would not turn your head. Now if you want to look at the box, that can certainly be arranged;)

Will, no personal items in box:willy_nil

I get a lot of **** from my pals about my YELLOW S/O box here at home. I'm color blind and it's one of the few colors I can see and the price was right, too.

I would have bought that in a heartbeat when I worked in dealerships, just because that's the type of 6'-2" 195lbs man that I am!

Actually I changed all of my screwdrivers, picks, prybars and everything else my SO guy could find to PINK. I got tired of people stealing red, orange and black handled tools because they looked like everybody elses in the shops. By golly, you could spot one of my pink tools from across the shop and no grease stained, wrench monkey would be caught dead with a pink tool.....other than me :)

I don't think I ever lost another tool once I changed colors.

Yep. My wife had a small pink tool kit at work (one of those breast-cancer awareness deals from Apollo) filled with pink handled tools, and nobody stole those tools. Sure, the men in the office would occasionally borrow tools from the kit, but everyone knew that any pink tools in the office were hers, and they came back really quickly.

Looks like a KRL7002 judging by the dimensions and drawer layout. It's identical to mine I just bought for 1100. 1300 with transportation fees. I buy and resell cars/motorcycles/tool boxes and I really don't have a problem with the buyer knowing what I paid, it's irrelevant. If the buyer wants the item he will pay what he feels it's worth regardless of what you paid.

Want my $.02?
Advertise it on a few Mopar sites. The color looks Panther Pink/ Moulin Rouge to me, so maybe it will appeal to an owner of a Pink car.
