There's plenty of paint slingin' going on here, too. Check out threads on garage fridges, tool boxes (vintage, too) and, of course, rag cans. You'll find some 'Killer' ideas.

I'm not jesse james, so I can't "go there"

You don't have to use the JJ style if'n you don't want to. And if you want to learn, you gots to try. I say go for it. The most you'll have in it is a few bucks and some of your time.

Up for it?

I use white paint on the numbers of my impact sockets. They're black and a beeyotch to read so the white makes life easier.

I've always enjoyed seeing the type of striping done on old cars and machinery back in the day. When I designed and built my own 20" pedestal bowl turning lathe, I found an itinerant pin striper and paid him to come to my shop and put the final touch on my latest shop machine.

Back in the day, we used to have our semi-tractor units "decals and numbers" all done by hand. It was pretty cool to watch those guys do this free hand; they had talent.

Then along came vinyl decals.... quick, easy, easy to change styles, and cheap. The art form of free hand lettering became somewhat obsolete and is disappearing. Never thought of doing some on a few items around the shop, kind of cool!

Let us know how that turns out. There are many pinstripers on here. You might even give some thought to trying a brush, too.

Good luck!
