Have 2 of the Pioneer units in my shop. Overall have been very happy with them

However, the cheap corrugated drain lines that ship with the unit have become quite brittle and have now broken in 3 separate locations, leading to flooding in the upstairs of my shop and drywall damage, etc.
Yes, I should have learned the lesson the first time but I got busy with other stuff….

Anyone have a recommendation for a more durable replacement?

Thanks

I used 20' of 3/4 pex the other day on an install. Most of the run is buried in the wall and not easily accessible. The drain hose from the head unit pushed right inside the pex with a snug friction fit.

PEX is a great idea, thanks.
I don't have any 3/4 lying around ... yesterday after a bit of searching I ordered some braided vinyl hose off Amazon. I'll report back on how it works, if it is questionable I'll try the PEX idea.

I can't imagine anyone burying the stock stuff behind a finished wall ... it has become completely brittle and friable, just falls apart. No UV exposure, either...

If you're pulling drywall already, what I did was install 3/4" PVC in the wall.. Might or might not be "electrical conduit" technically. Both units drain into the same 3/4 PVC pipe.

+1 I used 3/4 PVC as well. My drain line runs outside my wall but it goes 20' up and I didn't want to worry about a leak forming inside the line set cover way up there.

Thankfully I have easy access and am not pulling drywall.
Thanks for the PEX recs, I will keep those in mind.
