Planning a pole garage build 26x30x12 - 2 car garage.

Seems most are happy with pioneer pole and I had them come out for an estimate. I live in the west end of the Poconos PA - If you’ve been to the West End Fair, you know the area. Would like to know if there was any good, bad or ugly with this company? Other builders from the area are also welcome.

Also, things to add or look for in the planning phase with options for those that “wished they would have gone with that upgrade” before it was finished.

Any advise appreciated!!

I know the area well and go to the fair almost every year. I don't have any info or input to share but will be following this thread because I hope to be able to a build something similar with the next 5 years.

Halo,

I live in Pittsburgh and used PPB to build my 24 deep x 36 wide x 12 high pole barn back in 2015.
TOp notch company to deal with from Sales to the builders themselves. They had every option I was looking for and were very reasonably priced.

My options were:
Color - Ash Gray with White Trim and gutters, with a White Roof and the "Dog Ears" on the roof to hold back the snow.

One man door on the 24' side - Insulated
(2) 12' wide x 10' high Garage Doors - Insulated
My trusses were set on 24" Centers also ( Specified that myself)
Also a Ridge Vent was added.
I had the builders set the doors for 5" of concrete also.

Pretty plain and simple building. All of the Above costed me $22K. I outsourced the excavation to another company for about $1K here locally.

Only upgrade I could think of is that I wish I could of gone 4-8' deeper, but local township restrictions limited me from doing so.

EDIT: Forgot I have 1' Overhangs on all sides of the building with soffits/ventilation.

I had my pole barn built in 2017. I found that Pioneer was higher than local amish builders. The basic building is bad price wise but if you add options their price skyrockets, like 1ft gable vents all around and attic trusses. I went local and my 30x40 with 11/12 attic trusses with excavation and concrete was under 25k.

Basically what Andy said. I didn't have a single problem.

From salesman to builders were very professional.

I have a 30x40 built in 12'.

Only thing I wish I had done ....aluminum trim around the o doors on the inside BEFORE they hung the doors! What a PIA to do after if your doing steel interior liner panels.
