I ordered a "socket mat" from House of Tools and needed to up the order a bit to make shipping worthwhile. I added a Pioneer stubby dual drive ratchet for $7 and a few other odds and ends.

I'm quite impressed with the ratchet. It's sturdy, the head is not loose and it has at least 70 teeth (counted 35 clicks at half rotation). The selector lever is also made of metal...no question as to where it is made...china printed right on the package.

I have one of those. Found it in a box of stuff the other day. Forgot I had one. I think it was a gift from someone a few years ago. never put any torque on it though.

very similar to the "boss tools" website. boss tools offers free shipping though. both have a lot of low to medium quality with some higher end stuff as well.

i believe they are both in canada

Just finished using this thing on one of the bolts on my drill press. The ratchet fit in nicely as it has a short handle. It's as smooth as silk to use. Comfortable as hell. I can't believe it coming from a $7.99 tool.

I like it so much that I'm gonna have to take it out on a date :shocking:
