Actually, it is a Li-Ion Battery Holder I made from some tubing and end caps I got at Home Depot. You can make this any length for a series of 18650 Li-Ion batteries.
I happen to have some 18650 Li-Ion batteries left over from something and the Ni-Cad battery pack (no longer available) in a Dirt Devil stick vaccum I have, have long been toast and it just wasn't worth having a battery shop make a set up. So I am running 8.2V on a vaccum that took 6V. I might just have to put a "turbo" label under the product's name.
