I was wanting to know what tools most of the people use in the industry? And what tools should the company provide

A pipe wrap, a torpedo level, a tape measure and a pair of 440 channelocks is the tools I would show up with.

^^ what he said. I'd also show up with marking instruments, one of those small reference books applicable to the job, and gloves and safety glasses that were picked out and well-liked by ME, not some purchasing schlub.

Depends a lot on the type of outfit you’re going to be working for. Years ago when I travelled a lot as a fitter, I had a Knack box full of combo wrenches, pipe wrenches, banana wedges, pry bars etc. This was as a journeyman... as a helper it was similar to what sberry posted above.
