Making some custom stands and I'm needing something for fine adjustments. I was going to use the threaded piece with the big wing nut like Ridgid does but the search terms I can think of aren't working.

We use 1" Lagstud ( coil rod ) from concrete supply stores. It comes in 12' lengths. I made these to put under my fifth wheel incase the hydraulic jacks fail over winter. 4 x ½" rods are welded on the nuts to adjust the height. I didn't weld them on these stands but my pipe stands leaning up against the fence have them welded on.

I have had these pipe stands for over 20 years and they have spent their life outside. Almost every rig welder up here carries at least 3 on their rigs. I owned 13 at one time but now down to 4. They are engineered for 4500 lbs and I have seen heavier pipe stands rated for 6000 lbs using the same V tops. When I use them I just spray the threads with WD-40 because it kind of goes away and doesn't attract dirt. The last time I bought a length of Lagstud I paid about $3Cad/foot and the nuts were about $2Cad each.
