Pipe Stretcher?!

I’m fairly certain that the board stretcher is an urban myth. The pipe stretcher on the other hand, clearly can be yours for $155.23.

Was installing an annealing converter on a refrigeration line that was a reducing mill. They used a large wheel to weld the formed tube at 3/4” diameter @ 100 rpm. Down where my equipment sat at the mill output the diameter was reduced to 3/16” and the fpm went up to a couple thousand feet per minute. As that diameter was reduced the excess was squeezed out the end. So there is a tube stretcher. But when the tube broke, that was a mess a couple thousand feet of tubing would crunch up inside the cooling tube.

we used pipe stretchers all the time when the apprentices cut the pipe short and now our buckets of steam would leak. the only problem I ever had with the stretcher was when they broke the left handed pipe wrench and spent hours looking for a replacement

I have three or four spares and a couple upside down rights in my tool bucket if you need a 'new' to you lefty or upside down righty.
