I was looking for a set of 1/4" deep wells for occasional use, and considering Tekton and Kobalt's Taiwan offerings. I decided instead to try the Pittsburgh Pro set. More sockets, lower price, and I figured if they turn out to be soft Chinesium, well, I'd only be out eight bucks.
Imagine my surprise when they turned out to be made not in China, but in Taiwan. Haven't used them yet but they actually look pretty good, equal to Tekton at least superficially.
I have a sort of cognitive dissonance going on when a HF tool turns out to be decent. At their prices, I almost don't want them to be any good. It's not rational but what can I say, it is what it is.
