pittsburgh Pro 3/4 impact sockets

Just picked up the metric set and noticed it has a different lot number than the one I was reading reviews on.

Just realized it is made in china, I thought someone said it is made in taiwan so I didn't check until I got home. it is ANSI certified so either way it will handle the torque. I got this for backup with a 3/4 breaker bar incase.

Can anyone confirm the older lot number is made in taiwan. The lot number I have is larger and shows up on lot number search but not key word search.

Also mine has a shiny finish not dull like the picture shows.. is this a good thing?

Also the case is nice but why it is a space hog, there is not reason the case need to be so big.

No where on the box mention impact but website says it is impact

I can't speak to that particular part number, but they're Pittsburgh Pro, they're chrome-moly, and in my experience the shiny black finish sockets seem to be a better grade.

The only turn off I'm hearing is China vs. Taiwan.

i bought a set of 1/2" SAE deep impact sockets from them a while ago.. the country of origin was mixed though the same sets.. i sorted through to find a Taiwan set. i dont think it was the "pro" set, but i picked the cheaper one because it came with more sockets and also didn't skip any sizes for less money.. i THINK, the non-pro set finished with larger sizes too, and that was a better fit for what i needed. this is what the metric set gets you..

just looked.. the Pro sets come with 10 sockets, the non pro comes with 13..

pro comes with (metric) 11,12,13,14,15,17,19,21,22,24 - for $30

non pro - 10,13,14,15,17,18,19,21,22,24,27,30,32 - for $23

pro - 7/16 in., 1/2 in., 9/16 in., 5/8 in., 11/16 in., 3/4 in., 13/16 in., 7/8 in., 15/16 in., 1 in.

I also picked up the 1/2" deeps today and they are from Taiwan.
