I have recently refurbished a Parker 436A. Anyone have any history on this for me. Bathroom scale puts it at 192#, so I am in the process of building a respective free-standing base for it . Will send pics when done.

There used to be a vise 'wiki' that had most of the major brands listed in spread sheet form and any information that could be found. Sadly, it's no longer available. The Garage Journal thread "The vises of Garage Journal" http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44782 has more than 56,000 posts that cover most every vise ever made. However, don't use the GJ search function to research. Use Google and include "Garage Journal" in your search criteria. You will have better luck.

As for your vise, don't wait to take pictures! If you have a 6" Parker vise, show it off!
