Where is a good place to buy a floor drill press? Looking for a place that can be contacted, in case of damage during shipping, and that would pay for a return due to damage.
These guys were great before Amazon bought them. Their terms of contract have expired, and they’ve reopened (supposedly). I bought several large tools from them back when. Don’t know if they are still good.

I had no idea that Amazon bought ACME so I had to google it. Amazon DID buy them back when the company was called "Tool Crib of the North". The article I just read said the non compete clause has expired and they have re-opened as ACME tools. This article was dated March of 2010. So it's safe to say they haven't been involved with Amazon for at least 10 years now.
With all that said, I actually live about 15 miles (give or take) away from the ACME brick and mortar store that you linked to above. I have been there many times and I have purchased many tools from them. The place is awesome! They do not necessarily have the best prices on tools (sometimes they do when they have certain sales) but they ABSOLUTELY have the best selection of tools out of ANY brick and mortar retail store that I've ever seen. The place is huge, and it's packed with tools and equipment. For example.... Milwaukee cordless tools. They have EVERY Milwaukee cordless tool, in every combination available, in stock. Tool only, or kit form with one battery, or two batteries, etc, etc. Their Milwaukee display alone would probably fill the entire power tool aisle at your average Home Depot. They have plenty of knowledgeable employees if you need help with anything. I'm not sure about their mail order business, but their retail business rocks!
