I have used search and not found what I have been looking for.

I am trying to plan where to place the 2 post lift I am considering, a BendPak XPR-10AC. The guys are coming tomorrow to saw expansion cuts in the concrete that was poured today.
The garage is 30 deep 42 wide, 3 doors. I want to put the lift in the far bay.
I would like to put the lift as close to the back wall as possible so I can park a car underneath easily.
I mostly work on small and medium size cars, no trucks planned.
Some say 12ft but that seems to symmetrical arms, this lift is asymetrical.
The Mohawk has some details on their website for the A7, 3ft for cabinets, 5ft for walkway, then it gets a bit more fuzzy, maybe 2ft to the centre of the post.
I was going for 2ft to the side.
Thoughts, recommendations?

Hi ghlkal, I had read your post and the tubes look a good idea.
I have 2 kids who have cars and hopefully during the snowy winter I can keep 5 cars parked inside with some shuffling.
The lift to one side hopefully will make that easier.
Your tubes it looked like were positioned nearer to the back of your garage.
How far from the center of the post to the back wall did you end up with?

I got mine 12 inches from the wall, it works fine, but to set the front arm I have to walk all the way around the car. so make sure you can squeege between the wall and the post

They are closer to the back wall, but I still have 11.5 feet from the post to the wall (my garage is 30' deep)

I agree that having the lift to one side will give you more room for getting the cars in :)
