Placing Lights around a big trailer in shop

I have had my 50x50x14 shop 8 years and have always kept a big 30’ long 10’ tall enclosed trailer in one bay. If I am home it is there and never moves.

I am redoing my 20 lights which are basically evenly spaced across the entire ceiling in four rows of five lights. I am replacing the fluorescents with LED.

Would it make sense to move the three lights which are directly over the trailer off to the side of it? I like the uniform grid of lights but it seems the lights shining down directly on the roof of the trailer might be more useful in another location?

Personally, if the lights in 1 bay were arranged differently than the other 4(?) bays, the aesthetics would bug me even if it were functional.

Are you replacing your lights with the same types of fixtures? Do you plan on moving any of the other lights?

I think you'd get less shadows around the sides of the trailers if you rearranged the lighting.

But, life can change. I would try to place the fixtures on cords + plugs + receptacles in case you ever changed direction.

I'm in a somewhat similar situation bdog. Our 40x30 houses a 29' trailer and 30' motorhome. Currently there are some overhead lights that are above the trailer as well as some over the motorhome which I consider to be wasted lighting at the moment. Once things warm up I am going to do some rearranging of the lights and connecting outlets to better serve my lighting needs. It's actually a project I am looking forward to do.
