I'm in the planning and collecting stage of my build. 40 wide with 16x14 and 16x10ish doors. 60 deep. Must match house with vinyl siding, shingled 6/12 roof, a few courses of matching brick arould perimeter, and whatever else I can (AND SHOULD)do while in constuction. I'm not going to finish the interior right away, and I won't be working in the winter too much, but I would like advice on what roofing materials to put under the shingles for the best, most effective insulating and keeping things cool for summertime use. I figure I can insulate the walls later, after I can better afford it. Probably stick built, 2x4 or 2x6 framing. Would prefer clearspan, maybe allow for some storage up in the truss system if practical. I could use good advice on the foundation and floor as to best methods and waterproofing. Got to put in a few windows (3) on each side to make it look good and break up all the 60' of siding. Site elevation is about 13' down from driveway, and building will be sideways in reference to the street out front, so passersby will see mostly roof. Someone suggested a hip roof/dormer facing street to give some looks to said roof. So here goes guys----any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
