Planning on building an 8x8 shed in my backyard. I see most of my neighbors just set there shed on bricks of some sort. How many bricks do I want to use? Put one ever 2 feet, etc. Do I just support the outside edges or do I want to support the center of it somehow, etc

Thanks for your help

I'd just pour a pad and build it on that, but I don't have to worry about frost. That's how my shed is built.

It will depend on how you construct the shed, and what you're going to put in it. Here's a joist span calculator: http://www.awc.org/calculators/span/calc/timbercalcstyle.asp You can use it to calculate sizes for various loads and spans.

In general, 2x6 joists on 16 or 24 inch centers should be able to span more than eight feet. If that's what you're going to use I'd stick with just four blocks, one on each corner. Putting more blocks in the center may cause issues with the floor heaving during freeze/thaw cycles.

We made a gravel pad for our shed to sit on. It worked pretty well.
