From what I can tell the standard floor in this area (Eastern Mass) is 3000psi reinforced 4 inch concrete. I may put a MaxJax lift in at some point so I am going to spec thicker. Five inch or six?

If I plan coat the floor with epoxy should skip the sealing process? Its getting into the cold months and the epoxy needs 50 min temps. Should leave the floor unsealed and coat the floor in the spring and try not to get it greasy over the winter?

Steve:

You could apply a clear sealer to protect until the Spring, then grind off easily.

or...

You could go with a polyapsartic coating, good into the teens.

or...

You could wait until Spring and be careful. :)
