So a work buddy of mine has as ESAB PCM 875 that he wants to sell. Its brand new, he bought it and never used it because he doesn't have 220 in his house and doesn't want to install it. He never even put a plug on it. So he wants $350 for it and I just wanted to know if this is a good deal or not. If so i'm all over it but if not I'll just keep waiting and get a hypertherm later. So is it worth it?

Not sure what that machine is rated to cut but ESAB is a fairly well known name, I'd think it is well worth that. Look online and see what they sell for new.

He paid a lot more than that. I used that one in my class and it was solid.

I don't know what house doesn't have 240V, but that doesn't sound right.

There are 400/460/575V 3 phase versions of this machine out there, and they will be useless to you.

If it is the 208/230V single phase machine (P/N 36590), that price is a screaming deal.
