I'm debating between the Hypertherm PowerMax 65 or the Miller Spectrum 875 Autoline.

I am a blue guy but really would like to hear some thoughts.

I definitely love Miller in general... with that said, I think the industry leader for plasma is Hypertherm, and most definitely LOVE my Hypertherm Powermax 600. My vote is for Hypertherm.

I love there dummy tip setup, the fact that almost EVERY welding shop stocks consumables for them and the fact that I have yet to hear a person in industry give them a negative review

Just my two cents.

When it comes to welding I'm trueblue all the way. I have a few very good Miller welding machines in all processes. The same cannot be said for cutting. Hypertherm for me is the only game in town. The machines Hypertherm makes are next level in quality, power, fit and finish, consumable life and most importantly customer service. And many more factors but you get my point.
Get the Hypertherm and know that you have purchased the best!

Hypertherm all the way. My old beat one has never let me down, but I sold it to fund other stuff. Shopping for a new one now

I won a Longevity Forcecut 42i 40 amp Plasma, and it's a great machine, but if I was buying, it would be Hypertherm.

Hypertherm , no question asked. I went to FABTECH in Vegas last fall and 90% of all the big $$$ plasma tables had Hypertherm machines.
They are employee owned and MADE IN USA .
And I too am a MILLER blue guy with a bunch of blue.

Re: Plasma Cutter
Miller plasmas are built by Hypertherm. They are a model or two behind the current PowerMax.

Where did you find this info ?? If you go to the WELDINGWEB site and post this there I'm sure JIM COLT a 40 plus year employee of Hypertherm will tell the real answer. I really doubt Miller has anything to do with Hypertherm.

From Jim Colt:

Hypertherm designs and manufactures most of Millers torches. In the past, Miller produced a few of Hypertherms power supplies, most notably the Powermax190, Powermax350 amd Powermax380. These power supplies are no longer in production.....and currently all of the Hypertherm power supplies are designed and manufactured in Hypertherm's Hanover NH facility.
