I'm thinking about getting a plasma cutter but i need your help. I don't know who makes what. I'll be using it in my personal shop for hobbies and small projects. Nothing major. I'm looking for a good product at a good price. Who isn't? I'm not really looking to save money by purchasing an off brand but if reviews are good then i might take a shot.

May be worth it to contact your local welding supply place, mine sells them below MSRP, 10% over cost actually, Miller/ESAB/Hypertherm are excellent units.

If those are not an option the Longevity units are good for the money if you are just a hobbyist.

before you dump your money on one, first you need to have dry compressed air with adequate volume. without it, no matter how good the cutter is, it'a not gonna make good cut.

Buy a Hypertherm unit after you verify that you have adequate air supply the electrical power needed to run one. Not that i am impartial because I work at Hypertherm
