Restoring old roadmaster tricycle for a niece and missing a plastic bushing that goes on the steering fork for the handlebars and front tire. Does anybody have any ideal where to find one of these. I may have to make one. It looks like plastic and without it the steering is wobbly. I googled for old tricycle parts and plastic bushing but not found one in this size yet. I know this is of low importance for this group but I'm trying to get this finished for her daughter's birthday in June.

You sure that isn't metal? It looks rusty? And it looks like it was roll formed and welded together.

What is wrong with the one you have?

Check HD for steel frame electrical bushings. Dont know if they have them that large, but a chance. This is the first thing that came to mind. You’ll need 3 of the 3/4 if no larger.

The sleeve or bushing is about all I'm missing so far and I can start putting it back together. This thing was a rusted heap when I started. it is over 30 years old when I got it.

This is an excellent excuse to buy a lathe!
small simple projects are right in the wheel house of the 7x 1X china hobby lathes. I've used mine for a decade now just for this reason. Pretty much po-lastic and al-uum-anineum only.
