For those that give a rat’s ***, Yuban is back in metal cans again.

Lol…Most of you probably could careless, but I like the metal cans.

I don’t know about any of the other brands, but I’m glad they switched back to the metal container because when the coffee is gone I use the can for other things.

As you all know, they work great for storing nuts, bolts, nails, you name it, just seems to work better using the metal cans.

They started with metal, then switched to some sort of recycled cardboard, then plastic and now back to the metal again, go figure. :headscrat

Anyway, I’m happy to get the metal back. :)

Metal (steel I presume) is one of those forgotten original Ecological recyclable materials... infinitely reusable and repurposed. The foundry I use to work for only used scrap in their melt, as many do.

My dad used coffee cans for parts/nails/etc. when I was a kid. I did once upon a time, but have graduated to parts bins.. Still have metal and plastic cans around for those often needed repurposes.. like cleaning paint brushes, etc.

My favorite coffee comes in metal. 50 cans is enough for me, but they just keep coming.

I use them all, metal, plastic, glass. They all work for storing ****.

Using these requires a good storage system. Labels are a must, as you can't see through them. Stacking them on top of each other doesn't work either, as you have to 'dig' for items.

I have been saving large Planters peanuts plastic containers. They are clear so you can see into them....no guessing....and square so they do not waste shelf space.

Uncle just retired at the paper mill. He must have had dibs on the coffee cans. He has more than 50 folgers cans. Large cans.

I think I have one particular large coffee can with one of every kind of fastener in it---no duplicates! I refuse to throw them out though, because soon as I do, I know I'll need one of the treasures that are contained therein! :S Having said that, I can't remember the last time I've found a fastener in it that I needed.

(maybe a slight exaggeration, but not by much....)
