so I seen this at the swap meet the other day at a dealers booth that I have come to know, he was only asking a hundred bucks for it and I was tempted.... well he didn't sell it and emailed me yesterday and asked if I was interested in it for a lower price. I loved it due to never seeing one but that is also the reason I did not get it, so I ask the snap on guys here on GJ to inform me of what the hell it is so I can be an informed buyer or do I pass?

Buy it!!! I forget the model # off the top of my head, but they are nice boxes designed for military and portable applications.

Snap On KRP825 or something like that. I think they were called "FOD" for foreign object damage maybe? If you do buy it and you should. I'm expecting a full write up, with dimensions and detailed pics. :bounce:

What kind of "lower price" are we talking about?

Ugh. :scared:  I'd totally buy that for $50. Would fit great in my trunk and still be useful thanks to the no lid.

At one time my old job was working in the tool room for the USAF and yes zkling got it right. These boxes are sold as FOD free boxes. We used them to put a certain set of tools in that needed to be locked up separately from the normal rolling box. From what I remember the drawers are not real deep but it would work nice for a truck box or a spare set of grab and run tools. Think over the year I worked there only problem was one of the latches got broken. I would pay $50 all day for one of them.

Foreign object=debris, Foreign object causes damage. Not sure but that is the way the USAF looks at in as far as the OI's go and the flightline side of the world not real sure about back shops.
