Plastic tiles and scuffing? (Motorcycle kick stands etc)

I was just about to pull the trigger on plastic tile floor at my new house, but I then I tried some tests on samples and was disappointed with the results:

I have mostly dirtbikes plus a streetbike- '78 Triumph Bonneville

I parked the Bonnie on its center stand on a sample of racedeck for a few days to see if it would dent. It didn't really dent but where I lifted it onto the centerstand multiple times, it scuffed the surface a bit. And being English, the centerstand was pretty oily. It seemed to dig the oil into the scuff to the point where I could not easily clean the marks off the tile. I just put the sidestand of my DR650 on another mfg's sample and noticed the same thing even though the pressure is Much less.

Seems to me, that expensive floor will get scuffed/dirty/ugly real quick under my bikes. And I don't want to constantly fret over not damaging it.

My RD will scuff if my Harley kickstand slides on the tile. I just make sure I have a kickstand pad under the kickstand.

Probably not something to post in a forum but a lot of my customers order samples of the tiles and samples of the BLT mat. If they decide to go tiles they will use a sample piece of the BLT mat under the kickstand

I parked the Triumph overnight on the centerstand on one of the samples you gave me and it made sizable dent. Not sure which type, but the underside had the little pins. It mushroomed one of the pins pretty far. The Triumph is very light as streetbikes go- about 400 lb.

I really don't want something that I have to worry about all the time.

I'm now heavily leaning toward ceramic/porcelain tile, despite the extra effort/time to install.

Seems like a lot of moto guys are using it. Are they protecting it or living with damage or what?

I've placed heavy items (on casters) on my RD and it did indent the tiles; however, after I moved the item, the intention went away on a day or two. I'm guessing if you had a kickstand slide on any surface it will leave a scuff.

We have small pads that we give away to RD customers who may need pads for certain style kickstands. We make Harley-Davidsons flooring as well, but generally no pad is needed.

Send a note to your salesperson and tell them that I said to send you our a free stand pad for your RD floor. thanks

We just installed some race deck in a a 1200sq garage. All harley flooring with tough shield finish. For the kick stands we ordered the alum. diamond plate tiles...it looks great and there is no way you will have a problem when installed like that. We are dealers and know the flooring very well. It is the best out there...it is made in USA ...you can not go wrong there.

A smooth tile would be nice...but for now the diamond plate works...ps..I want a new tee shirt..mine is getting worn out...eveyone ask's me about it..lol

The 55 Mil G-Floor will not hold up long term to kick stands. The 75 Mil will but we suggest a pad. It will indent but those indents will come out. On tiles, we all recommend using a pad of one sort or another.
