I bought the Maddox battery powered one (https://www.harborfreight.com/cordless-hot-stapler-kit-70800.html) and, so far, I really like it. I haven't used it extensively, but when I have used it, it has been solid. It heats up fast, recharges relatively quickly, and it seems to be the same as the Matco hot stapler (https://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/hsgkr/cordless-hot-staple-gun).

Astro does have a battery powered one as well and you can get the Summit Racing version of the same thing for a little less.

I don't have any info on battery powered but I can say that the gun format is not ergonomic. Look for an in line style.
